I am a German member of the AGA, thanks to Michael Redmond’s AlphaGo video series. Long before becoming an AGA member, I was inspired by the “Empty Board” articles and book from William S. Cobb. As a long term Zen-Buddhist practitioner and Go player, I was inspired to combine traditional meditation postures with solving Go problems in front of a goban instead of meditating with koans, since the latter is only available with a teacher nearby. Problem solving sitting in lotus posture is a practice which reliably raises my spirits on Sunday afternoons. Two beginners helped me to produce a YouTube video showing this practice as a “thank you” for introducing them to the game of Go, and I’d like to share this video with the Go loving community.
