MISSION
SAN JOSE HIGH 3-PEATS AT 4TH CA HIGH SCHOOL GO TOURNEY:
Mission San Jose High School from Fremont, California, won 1st place
for the third straight year in the CA High School Go Tournament. Nine
Bay Area high school go teams competed in a 4-round tournament on April
22 at the ING's Goe Foundation Center in Menlo Park, CA. Click

REDMOND
CUP EARLY RESULTS: Twelve top youth players are
competing in the Redmond Cup, the oldest internet go tournament in
North America. Players include Andy Liu, the 2006 US Open Champion, 3
WYGC Qualifiers, and several WYGC runners-up, who are competing in 6
rounds of tournament play on the IGS. Click

WORLD
YOUTH COMES TO U.S.: The 24th World
Youth Go Championships will come to the United States for the
first time this year, scheduled for August 6-12 in Boston, MA. Sponsored
by the Ing Foundation, the tournament features top youth players from
around the world.
CHINA
SUMMER GO CAMP UPDATE: Nearly 20 have already registered
for this year's Feng Yun Summer Go Camp in China. "We still have seats
available," Feng Yun 9P tells the EJ. The camp "offers a great
experience of study both go and Chinese culture," says Feng Yun. Click

EIGHT
TOURNAMENTS ARE NOT ENOUGH: In addition to the US Open, each US
Go Congress - July 28-August 4 this year -- features a slew of side and
self-paired tournaments. "This year, keep an eye out for a
new-and-improved version of the Chuck Robbins Challenge," reports
Congress Co-Director Peter Nassar, "as well as an even bigger East-West
tournament, a revamped North American Masters/Ing tournament, and a new
Women's Tournament, aimed exclusively to women go players." Click

WORLD 1: GW ARCHIVE ARRIVES: The much-anticipated Go
World Archive is now available, Kiseido Digital's Bob Myers tells the
EJ. "This product contains an unprecedented wealth of go information,"
says Myers. "Lovingly scanned to maintain the exact look and feel of
the original," the archive includes an extensive index and full-text
search across the entire archive of nearly 7000 pages and can be used
