ROBBINS, SCHMIDT, CASTANZA & LAIRD WIN: Although a complete tally is still being compiled, the EJ has learned that the winners in the recent AGA Board election are Chuck Robbins (East), Roy Schmidt (Central), Gordon Castanza (West) and Roy Laird (At-large). We will report the final tally as soon as it's available.

NOVA MAKES A MOVE: "After twenty-six years at the Central United Methodist Church," reports NOVA Go Club organizer Allan Abramson, "we have moved to the George Mason University Law School campus, where we usually hold NOVA tournaments." The new meeting space is just around the corner from the tournament room 115, through the double doors into the student lounge area, and NOVA is an official student club at GMU now. Directions on the club's web site: www.novagoclub.org

HOBOKEN BACK ON THE BOARDS: The first meeting of the new season for the Hoboken Go Club will be this coming Monday evening, September 11, from 7P-closing. "A special welcome back to our old friend Koichi Watanabe!" says organizer Larry Russ, who adds that "We are in the final stages of planning the annual Fall Tournament." Club details at http://personal.stevens.edu/~lruss/HobokenGoClub.htm

GO MASTER PIC TIX AVAILABLE: Special early alert for AGA members: tickets for the new Go Seigen pic (Go Seigen Pic To Screen In NYC 8/28 EJ) go on sale tomorrow online at www.filmlinc.com "The Go Master" screens Sat Sept 30 at 3P and Sun Oct 1 at 6P as part of the the New York Film Festival. VENDOR LIAISON WANTED: The Vendor Liaison maintains consistent, constructive contact with vendors of go equipment and paraphernalia; the AGA views a healthy vendor sector as important to the American go community, and the Vendor Liaison is the vendor's voice in helping promote their businesses. The Vendor Liaison reports pertinent issues to the President and the Board, and presents AGA policy to vendors as directed. Interested? THIS WEEK'S GO QUIZ: Cho U 9P is currently the top title holder in Japan. Was he born in China, Korea, Japan, or Taiwan? If you think you know, click here to vote in our Go Quiz Question of The Week: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=330212370809 One winner will be drawn at random from the correct answers and will be awarded a go book or $15 gift certificate from one of our fine go vendors. Note: due to a technical glitch, there's no winner from last week (the correct answer to which state has never hosted a US Go Congress is Indiana); to make up for it we'll award two winners next week.

GAME COMMENTARY: Double Dinerchtein & September Yang
Today's game commentaries are a double-header from Alexander Dinerchtein 1P, the popular European pro. In the first game, Dinerchtein plays a fast friendly game on KGS, while the second finds him taking on Lee Changho 9P in a dramatic game. Our bonus today is the latest in Yilun Yang 7P's terrific original series of life-and-death problems based on the names of each month.
